About me
I'm always up for a conversation about:
🔌 Open source eating the EV charging stack. I co-founded the startup Pionix to do for charging what Android did for mobile. We initiated and maintain the EVerest Project at LF Energy (I chair the TSC), now 700+ contributors from 80+ organizations. Happy to dig into governance, sustainability, or the messy reality of getting industrial OEMs to upstream their code.
⚡ Software-Defined Charging. Why the next decade of charging infrastructure looks more like a CI/CD pipeline than a hardware procurement cycle, and what that means for utilities, CPOs, and regulators.
🇪🇺 Open source as European industrial strategy. Where AFIR, Eichrecht, and EU sovereignty conversations intersect with open source, and why I think Brussels still underrates the leverage open source gives European industry.
🌍 Climate tech that actually ships. I'm active in Parents for Future and Scientists for Future. I care a lot about the gap between climate ambition and the boring infrastructure work that makes decarbonization real.
🧪 Physics → drones → charging. If you want the founder-journey conversation: PhD in physics, co-founded MAVinci (drones, acquired by Intel), led drone software there, then started Pionix in 2021.
Also: come say hi if you take the train to Brussels. I do too.
